We are thrilled to announce that UTS will nominate 2 students with exceptional leadership qualities to represent the university to join this prestigious programme on Temasek Foundation – NUS Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (TF – NUS LEaRN) Programme 2023
on July 3 – 22, 2023. Participants will receive a financial award of SGD 1,500 to cover the cost of return airfare and living expenses in Singapore upon the successful completion of the programme. Programme fees and accommodation in Singapore worth SGD 3,000 are fully sponsored.
Program Brief
With the aim to groom the leader in you, the TF – NUS LEaRN Programme nurtures the next generation of Asian leaders by providing opportunities for cultural exchange, networking, and leadership development. This 3 – weeks programme brings together 30 undergraduates from Southeast Asian countries this summer to Singapore to deepen your understanding about the complexities of leadership and envisioning future leadership in the region. You will be joined by 35 Singaporean undergraduates to uncover the complexities of leadership in the workforce and how it can prepare you for the future and success and wrapping up with the emerging field of Futures Thinking with a focus in the ideal leadership in ASEAN by the esteemed Lee Kuan Yew
School of Public Policy.

Requirements
- Active UTS Student
- Be fluent in English. Undergraduates from all majors and years are accepted
- Participants will need to be fully vaccinated. More details can be found here: https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore
- Full commitment to the programme. Participants who do not successfully complete the programme will need to pay the full programme fees
- Students who can demonstrate leadership qualities or possess leadership experience are preferred

Selection Process
- Through the administrative process, candidates will be selected based on leadership (based on involvement in organizations/clubs or other initiatives), academic achievement (transcript), motivation (statement of purpose), English proficiency (test score or statement of purpose and short video). Each aspect is worth 25% of the total score
- Shortlist candidates will be invited to attend the interview with the panelist. The total score from administrative and interview will be combined to choose two candidates to represent UTS
